I attended Texas Tech University from 2000-2004. After graduation I moved to Mbale, Uganda, East Africa, to teach at a small mission school. I completed two school years and returned to work in the library at a Bible training college, organizing and cataloging books that had been donated and shipped from the U.S. I also did some teaching in the surrounding villages, mostly to women and children. I met Mark in Uganda (originally from Washington state), as he was working with our national team in the capital city Kampala. We were married in September 2007, and I moved to Kampala to work in the library at the community center where the church meets. Our daughter, Elia, was born in September 2009. Our family is planning to move back to the States in March 2010.
