Robert was one of the few people that could make me laugh out loud. I'll always remember his antics and his jokes. It saddened me when I heard of his passing and of the demons that tormented him. Now he's with the Lord and at peace.

I truely miss Robert and his candy apple red truck.
We rode the bus together, and even played together as children. From Bethware to High School, Robert was always and forever a good friend.
I miss him very much.

I loved Robert's laugh and how he could always get you with a joke. The bibbed overalls and straw hat were a hoot, too. We loved him and I'm sure God loves him ,too

I just today found this site thanks to John Hardin. I knew about Robert for a while but thought I would say something.
His land backed up next to ours. I can not even tell how many times we stayed out by the pond all night. Just hanging out without one care in the world. I knew his family and what good people they were. So today I miss him all over again. He was my friend and always will be.

SURVIVORS: Parents, Willis O. and Nell Camp Harmon, Kings Mountain; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn L. and Margie Harmon, Leesburg, Va. FUNERAL: 11 a.m. today, Harris Funeral Home,Rev.Sam Snyder, Rev. David Blanton BURIAL: Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery

When my wife told me of Robert's passing, my knee's buckled, I could not believe it! He was my best friend for many years, we grew up together, he was only 2 days older than me and even with all the crap he pulled by running off on me in the mountains and all the trouble I got into by coming home without him, he was still my friend. I pray he has found the peace that alluded him on earth. The reassuring words by Rev.Snyder at the funeral were beautiful and convinced me Robert is in glory today!
