KINGS MOUNTAIN- Patrick Alan "Rick" Witherspoon, 51, of 216 Patterson Road, died Jan. 30, 2012, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born in Cleveland County. Mr. Witherspoon was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, former employee of Kings Mountain Fire Department for 17 years and Baldor for 28 years. He was an Eagle Scout, loving husband, son, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Pinkie Towery Witherspoon, Kings Mountain; parents, Phillip and Patricia Goforth Witherspoon, Kings Mountain; brother, Charles E. Witherspoon and wife, Lynn, Kings Mountain; sister, Wanda Whetstine and husband, Darrell, Kings Mountain; childhood friend and caregiver, Larry Henderson; nieces and nephews, Charlie Witherspoon and wife, Chelsea, Winston-Salem, John W. Witherspoon, Kings Mountain, Ashley Witherspoon, Kings Mountain, Christy and Vince Campbell, Kings Mountain, and Chad Whetstine, Kings Mountain. 
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain 
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel
