Janet was my best friend from sixth grade through high school. I have so many memories of Janet that I cherish that I can't possibly share all of them. She was a wonderful friend, a terrific french horn player, a great student, a courteous, nice and kind classmate - I can't think of one negative thing to say about Janet. She and I kept in touch after high school - she was at Carolina and I was at Wingate - but we wrote a lot of letters and always spent a week at Myrtle Beach together every summer. She was by my side at my wedding in May, 1989 - only five months before she passed away. She looked incredibly beautiful and was the Janet everyone loved - funny, sweet, caring and helpful. I didn't see her again after that - and for that, I have always felt sad; but I know I will see her again one day in Heaven - and for that, I am thankful. I loved her dearly, I think of her often, and I miss her still.

I agree with Joni there is absolutely nothing negative you can say about Janet. She was a great daughter, sister, student and most of all a great friend. Janet and I did not become friends until middle school but she was a friend thoughtout high school and even thro she was at Carolina and I was at Western when we came home for our holidays and I called her we picked up right where we left off. She was an honorary bridesmaid in my wedding and she attended my daughter's baby shower. I was so glad I got to see her then, Jenny was born in September and Janet passed away soon after she was born it broke my heart. Janet will always be remembered!
