Rusty Melvin Davis

March 11, 1960 - May 10, 2016

Rusty Melvin Davis 56, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May, 10, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Rusty especially enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends. He was an avid race fan.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Leah Davis; father, Paul K. Davis.

Survivors include his sons, Chaz Davis and Dereck Davis; grandchildren, Savannah White Davis and Jacob Davis; Mother, Wilma P. Davis Williams and husband William; Sister, Paula Trent and husband Larry; Special Nieces; Misty Trent and Michelle Bishop, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for 4 – 6 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Wade Frazier and Pastor Bill Schaffer officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm at Oak-Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport. David Bishop, Larry Trent, Jeremy Lemons, Donnie Ward, and Tim Napier will serve as pallbearers. Those attending are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:15 pm.
