On May 22, 2009 the first recipient of the Tariq Rasheed Ali Scholarship will be announced at Awards Day at Kinston High School. The graduating senior will receive $1000 for first year expenses towards pursuing their Bachelor’s degree at North Carolina A&T State University (my undergraduate alma mater).
