School Story:
India Sadie of Kinston/K-TOWN, NC has certainly lived and created a "true hollywood story" for herself. Upon graduating from Elizabeth City State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, she established herself for the next four years living and working in Virginia Beach, VA. During 1999 India Sadie dedicated four months to studying Nail Technology in Marietta, GA. Returning back to VA, India landed a full page spread in the December 2000 issue of Hype Hair magazine, sang the national anthem at sporting events, spent ample time in the music studio recording demo tracks and graced the runway in several fashion shows for local designers such as Lowenthal Furriers, Azure' and Mecca, just to name a few. Feeling much success from her work as an aspiring actress, model, singer and songwriter in Virginia Beach, India Sadie relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 2002. Since, she has mastered the craft of manicuring and has been a keyplayer in starting up salons and spas throughout the LA area. Sadie juggled many hours between working at LAX for Alaska Airlines while helping to open and establish nail salon Varnish, INC. on Melrose Ave located in Beverly Hills, CA where she held hands with Britney Murphy, Gina Davis and Tisha Campbell.
Nevertheless, the airline and the nail salon could not keep her from her passion of fashion. India Sadie enrolled at American Intercontinental University and studied one academic year of Fashion Technology & Design during the latter months of 2005 on into early 2006. Soon after moving forward, she expanded her entrepreneurship as the first manicurist to serve Dtox Dayspa of Los Feliz, CA and simotaneously active as a mobile manicurist working parties and award shows such as the 2006 Grammy's. Her presence at Dtox Dayspa lead to a minor speaking role as spa receptionist on BRAVO tv show "Shear Genius". The March/April 2007 issue of Healing Lifestyles & Spa magazine published an article covering the 2006 Grammy's along with a picture of India Sadie on the roof of the W Hotel in Brentwood, CA manicuring Bahar Soomek, a star from the movie CRASH.
The early parts of 2007 brought on various exposure to television and film. Sadie performed as a dancer in the music video "Come Tomorrow" by British rockstar Chicane. She was the focal point extra in the closing scene of motion picture "Hollywood Familia" by producer Frank Aragon and a VIP model of seven episodes on fourth season of Nick Cannon's MTV Wild'N Out. The start of 2008 led to another mission of setting pace and trend by jumpstarting brand new nail salon, ManiPediCutie in Hermosa Beach, CA. It did not measure up to be a reciprocating situation for India. So, next her entrepreneurship and passion for fashion merged as an endeavor offering much rewards. India Sadie began to shop for a living! Purchasing wardrobe items and handcrafting accessories, India enjoys vending on Venice Beach, CA. It is an opportunity for all of her experience and skills to come into play. She radiates as a positive energy and offers healing by interacting with beachgoers through indirect counselling. India has recently appeared as a guest in studio audience for BET programming entitled "One Mic Stand". She has also worked with Justin Timberlake as he hosted 2008 ESPY sports awards. Currently, Sadie is competing and shooting a FOX reality tv series, American Sex Symbol, with Traci Bingham that will air 2009. Recently, India Sadie was abliged to grace the runway at Twelve & Highland in Manhattan Beach, CA to raise funds for sircoma cancer. Sadie has made two appearances at the Lighthouse Lounge on Hermosa Beach pier as a guest singer backed by live band Detour Posse. Her most recent performance was at the California African American Museum for a tribute to Bob Marley where she sang Bob songs and chanted spoken word. Currently, as she writes various songs and pieces together her autobiography, Ms. Sadie manages a prominent hair salon in the heart of Beverly Hills servicing many big named celebrities. She is very enthused about being on the mainstream and developing into the perfect candidate to fulfill various needs in the entertainment industry. She possesses a great faith that allows no fear for adventure, change and new risks. Tremendous patience and understanding gifted from the Almighty Creator reflects in everything that she does. India's experience, diligence and success thus far has definately proved her to be a true superstar!
