Funeral, 11 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2016, St. Matthew Baptist Church, 5410 Louisburg Rd. The Rev. Dr. Ronald E. Avery, Pastor, Officiating. Interment, Southview Cemetery, Kinston. Visitation, 10:30 - 11 AM, Thursday, prior to the service at the Church.
Survivors; daughter, Tyechia L. Maitland (Marlon) of Raleigh; sons, Vernon Tyrek Barnes, Brandon T. Maye and Deshawn M. Canady all of Raleigh; sisters, Jean D. Parker (Lindsey) of Kinston and Charlene Croom of NY; 1 grandchild, Lauren A. Maitland and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 3011-207 Crimson Tree Court, Raleigh.
