With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Koonce Family announce the transition of 64 year old Mr. Herbert Delaine Koonce of 801 Thompson Street, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 618 Girl Scout Road, Kinston.

Mr. Koonce is survived by one daughter-Kimeeka Koonce of Kinston, one step-son-Jemony Poole of Kinston, three brothers-Lee Koonce, Jr., Joseph Koonce of Kinston and Frederick Ingram of Columbus, Georgia, five sisters-Mercedes Bell of Winterville, NC, Jaleria Lawson, Joselyn Koonce, Lorraine Hobbs of Kinston and Charlene Koonce White of Washington, DC, one aunt Elizabeth Speight of Kinston a host of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
