Patricia Murphy, 53, of 511 N. Queen St., died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at St. Mark Church Ministries with Apostle Melvin Parks officiating. Survivors include her son, James Murphy of Kinston; daughter Kendra Gilliam of South Carolina; brother James Murphy; and sisters, Josie Murphy and Margie Murphy, all of Kinston, Lillie Mundine and Iris King of Dover; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at Swinson Funeral Service, Inc.
