RICHMOND, Va. — Jo Laurel Webber, 53, formerly of Kittery, Maine, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, after a two-year battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 25, 1949, and raised in Kittery. She was the daughter of the late Gordon Douglas Webber and Ruth Perkins Webber. She graduated from Traip Academy, Class of 1967, and attended the University of Tampa in Florida.

She worked for the Internal Revenue Service for many years in Portsmouth, N.H., Burlington, Vt., and Richmond, Va.

She had resided in the Richmond area for the past eight years. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place later this summer at a time and place to be announced.

She was the beloved sister and sister-in-law of Karen and Don Brooks of Federal Way, Wash.
