John passed away in 2001, in his prime. He was a dear friend and a sweet unassuming man who never took himself too seriously. My wife and I are still close to his wife Belinda and twins Jonathon and Alexander, now grown men. My oldest boy, Jack Lincoln, was named after John. Paul and Pat Bristow and I considered John a great friend and I can imagine that losing John was as tough for them as it was for me.
I was so saddened to hear the news about John, as you may know he was very kind, gentle and caring person. I didn't have many friends back in high school, in fact I didn't fit in but I knew John was different from others. His smile always brightens my days in drafting class with Mr. Scott. Kind hearted John loves people in any colors, rich or poor. I was one of them and he makes me feels at home back in La Canada High School. May God bless him and his family.
