So sad to hear about Trinka.  I suspect not a lot of classmates knew her--Trinka was at La Canada Elementary School when I arrived in second grade, but I don't remember even seeing her in high school.  Her mom, Ann Sandquist, was our Brownie and Junior Gilr Scout leader.  They lived very close to the school, but just below Foothill Blvd.  Her grandmother owned and operated Min's Kitchen on Foothill. Trinka always kept a "low profile", but she was strong and athletic and kind.

Oh, this is very sad indeed.  I've tried to find her online for years.  She was lovely.  :(

I remember Trinka, we were in Spanish class together.  She was always nice to me.  Sad to hear of her passing.

What happened to Trinka?  I couldn't find the original posting.

I remember Trinka all the way back to our 4th grade days at La Canada Elementary. She was very sweet--and back then--had the most amazing hair always pulled back in a long, long braid. Funny the things you remember. So sorry to hear of her passing. Another sad loss for our class.

So sorry to hear of her passing. Trinka was always so nice and I even remember brushing her long hair once in elementary school.
