I remember Karen since kindergarten at Paradise Canyon. We were also in the Brownies together (I don't recall if I made it as far as a girlscout) We lived in the same general neighborhood, so I also recall walking home with her from FIS since the buses were always so late. It was quicker to walk! I was so sorry to hear she died so young.
BTW, it's too bad the public school district does not use FIS anymore....it had tennis courts, an auditorium, a cafeteria and a gym! The middle school that I taught at for 25 years in Encinitas only had a gym. Those old schools are worth something!

Karen Kile was born 10 March 1953 and died 24 May 2002. She is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale.
