Laura was a gifted musician & writer. We became friends when we learned we had the same birthday- April 19th. She had a tough exterior that sheltered a tender heart. My favorite memory of Laura was when she performed 'Lucky Man' at the LCHS talent show. It was '73 or '74. We had an adventure or three. She changed my life. Laura died on Xmas Eve, 1977. My heart broke that day.
