Lisa A. Yahnke, of La Crescent, died on Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. She was born in La Crosse on December 28, 1965 to George and Carol (Beth) Johnston. Lisa was a 1984 graduate of La Crescent High School and on October 6, 1990 married her high school sweetheart, Greg Yahnke at Church of the Crucifixion in La Crescent. Lisa began working at Pine Creek Golf Course in 1982. In recent years, she held the position of clubhouse manager until illness forced her to retire earlier this year. She had also helped her father in his auction business, working as a cashier. Lisa enjoyed flower gardening and shopping.

In addition to her husband Greg, she is survived by her children Brittany and Lucas Yahnke both at home; her parents of La Crescent, her paternal grandmother Mildred Johnston of Hokah; two sisters, Brenda (Roy) Lemke of La Crescent, Kim (Scott) Halverson of Hokah; one brother Jamie Johnston (friend Tiffany) of La Crescent; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant sister Suzanne, her paternal grandfather and maternal grandparents.
