Steven Robert Rybold, 64, known to friends and family as Bronco and Steve, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in Genoa, WI. Born on January 8, 1959, in La Crosse, WI, Steve was a generous, friendly, and handy man who lived a life full of adventure and the enjoyment of the great outdoors.

Steve attended La Crescent High School, where he excelled in academics and made lifelong friendships. Upon graduation, he began his career at Mathey Construction in La Crosse, where he learned valuable skills that would serve him well throughout his life. Steve's strong work ethic and commitment to excellence led him to a 22-year career as a forklift mechanic at Gateway Foods. His dedication and expertise in his field were widely recognized, and he became a trusted and respected member of the local community.

Survivors include his fiancée, Connie Williams; his children, Justin Rybold, Jacob (Jordan) Rybold, and Jessica (Dustin) Lepke; grandchildren, Jayden, Jessanya, Jacoby, Maeve, and one on the way; one great-granddaughter, Athena; his mother, Jo Ann Rybold; his siblings, Lynn Rybold and Bob (Tammy) Rybold; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Randy Swensen, and Calvin Hanson; other relatives and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Robert Rybold; and his son, Jason Rybold.
