Mr. Opsahl, 54, of Rochester, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at his home in Rochester.

Douglas Hans Opsahl was born January 4, 1956, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the son of Harold and Betty Opsahl. Raised in La Crescent, he was a graduate of the public schools there. He served 18 years in the U.S. Air Force, and was stationed in San Antonio, Texas. He was married on November 24, 1992, to Sherrie Martin in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. He worked as an optical lab manager for Pearl Vision in Rochester and Woodbury. For the past 6 years he owned and operated Main Street Maintenance.

He was an avid golfer, loved all sports, and enjoyed spending time with friends. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion.
