Linda J. Bentzen, 66, of La Crosse, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

She was born in La Crosse, April 12, 1947, to LeRoy and Rosemary (Gautsch) Bentzen.  Linda attended St. Thomas Moore Grade School and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1966.  Linda was a long time employee of the Quillin's Grocery Store and later was a domestic caregiver.  She loved to go fishing on the Mississippi River.  She also loved going out West with her good friend, Donna, looking for artifacts and Indian items for her collection.

Linda is survived by her siblings, Roy "Chuck" (Monica) Bentzen, Mark (Leanne) Bentzen, David (Stephanie) Bentzen, Sam (Tammy) Bentzen and Lisa (John) Meyer; many nieces and nephews; and her good friend, friend Donna Gegenfurtner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Rosemary Bentzen; her brother, Nick; and nephew, Scott Bentzen.

A prayer service was held at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Roberts officiating.  Memorials were requested for the La Crosse Humane Society.
