Janice M. Orsborn, 66, formerly of Moline, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014, at her residence in Springfield, Va. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline with a Christian wake service . Burial is at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
Janice was born June 11, 1948, in La Crosse, Wis., daughter of Gregory and Rosemary Muehlenkamp Malin. She married Seborn D. Orsborn on Oct. 18, 1975, in Onalaska, Wis. He preceded her in death April 25, 2014.
Janice was employed by the Department of Defense, as a classification specialist, retiring in 2013. She was formerly employed at the Rock Island Arsenal in the employment benefit department, last working in 2000.
She was a member of St. Bernadette Church, Springfield, and a former member of Sacred Heart Church, Moline. She was 1966 graduate of Aquinas High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was an avid reader and enjoyed travel, especially to national parks and museums. Survivors include daughters, Jennifer Orsborn and Kristen Orsborn; a son, Paul Orsborn, sisters, Jeanette Wilson, Mary Ustby and Vicky Kloss; brothers, Edward Malin, Daniel Malin and William Malin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Seborn; and daughter, Allison, 1997.
