Jerry Dean Gillette

Jerry Dean Gillette, 45, of La Crosse, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 1995 in Lutheran Hospital-La Crosse, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Jerry was born on Jan. 9, 1950, in La Crosse, to Donald V. and Evelyn (Deets) Gillette. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He had worked for Pepsi-Cola of La Crosse for 30 years and was currently their Marketing Director. Jerry was a member of the Wisconsin Pepsi-Cola Marketing Committee and was also a member of English Lutheran Church, La Crosse. Jerry loved the river, skiing, bike riding, hiking and gardening.

He is survived by his parents, Donald and Evelyn of La Crosse; one sister, Patti (Scott) Gillette-Ostrom of La Crosse; two brothers, Frank (Linda) Gillette of La Crosse and Donald Gillette of Rochester, Minnesota; and six nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be a 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 1995 in English Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark Jolivette will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum, Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse; and from 1 p.m. until the time of services Monday, in the church.

Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Hospital Foundation Family Hospice Care Program, the Lutheran Hospital Foundation Cancer Research or English Lutheran Church.
