Ronald Hanson

Ronald Lewis “Ron” Hanson, 49, of Topeka, Kansas, died Monday, June 28, 1999, at his home of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 30, 1950 in La Crosse, Wis., the son of Eldon Wayne and Lillian Jeanette Leirmo Hanson. He graduated from La Crosse Central High School and attended a technical school for but later graduated from Kaw Area Technical School, Topeka. He had lived in Topeka since 1970. He married Katherine R. “Kathy” Starkey on May 6, 1972 in Topeka.

Mr. Hanson was employed by Butter Krust Bakery in Topeka for more than 14 years and most recently was employed by Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc., Topeka. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine, of Topeka; a daughter, Tamya J. Hanson; a son, Randy W. Hanson, La Crosse, Wis.; his mother, Lillian J. Hanson of La Crosse; a brother, Oved Hanson, Carlton, Texas; one grandchild; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. “Ron” was preceded in death by his father in 1983.

Funeral services were held at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
