John Joseph Stachowitz, 55, of San Marcos and formerly of La Crosse passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at his home after a battle with cancer.

Survivors are his wife, Karen (Black); son, Brian (Melissa) Stachowitz of Georgetown, Texas; daughters, Beth Stachowitz of San Marcos and Becky Jo Stachowitz of Orange Beach, Ala.; five granddaughters, Emily, Annissa, Anya, Miranda and Melanie Stachowitz, all of Georgetown; one grandson, Mason Stachowitz of Orange Beach; his mother, Florence Stachowitz of La Crosse; and a sister, JoAnne (Richard) Revels of Racine, Wis.

Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of San Antonio or Central Texas Medical Center Hospice.
