STODDARD - Charles A. Wuensch, 46, of Stoddard passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at his home of colon/liver cancer.
He was born on Sept. 26, 1962, in La Crosse to Charles L. and Carol (Klein) Wuensch and graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1981.
He married Becky Brown in La Crosse, and they later divorced. Charles had worked as a salesman and foreman for Kemps/Marigold Foods in La Crosse from 1981 until 1998. He then worked as a sales associate for M. West Associates Insurance for several years. Charles worked for a time at Jim DeBoer Pest Control and most recently had been the nights and weekend manager for Water's Edge Hotel and Marina in Stoddard.
Charles was an avid outdoor sportsman who loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed painting and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his two children, Wyliam Wuensch and Alyson Wuensch, both of La Crosse; his parents, Charles L. and Carol Wuensch of Coon Valley; two brothers, Frederick (Shari) Wuensch and Anthony Wuensch, both of La Crosse; a sister, Becky (Jeff) Geirszewski of La Crosse; 13 nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his "Sweetie," Julie Hall of Eau Claire. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edmund Doerre officiating. Friends and family may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse, where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m., and again at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
