Julie passed away February 4th 2006. She was a loving wife and mother. She was married to Ross Cook. They have 2 handsome sons. Austin Cook a Junior at LaFayette High School and Caleb Cook a Freshman at LaFayette High School. She was blessed with a family that loves and misses her dearly. Me and Julie had 2 classes together Typing and Health Occupations. She loved to laugh and have a good time. We where always in trouble for giggling and messing people up on their timing test in typing. It was worth it though I loved to hear her laugh. MISSY WILLIAMS TENNANT
I met Julie at the ballfield. She was constantly wide-open taking the boys everywhere. She was either at the school, ballfield or at Uncle Jed's Store. She was a hoot to be around. I have never laughed so much in my life as I did around her. She would make me bust out giggling when she would take off in the car. She would squat the back end of the car when she punched the gas pedal. I'd say, "and there she goes". I loved her because of the humor she brought to me and my sister. She was definately a GUT BUSTER!!!!! I miss you, GIRL....
I don't know where to begin except to say I miss you so much. I moved to LaFayette in the middle of my 8th grade year and I really don't remember when or where I met Julie. It was like we had known each other forever. Julie was the dearest friend, always there for me. Over the years we grew apart and would occasionally see each other at the ball field with our boys but we both were busy and never took the time that now I would give anything to have back. Julie had the most incredible laugh and always had a smile. I saw Julie a few weeks before her accident. She was beautiful and happier than I had ever seen her. Of course we promised to keep in touch and get together soon never knowing that would never happen. I miss you Julie. I miss your laugh and your smile and I wish I had made the effort to stay in touch with you over the years. I pray for your boys because I know they too must miss you terribly. I know that we will meet again someday and I will hear your wonderful laughter. Rest in peace my friend.
I first remember Julie from high school, she was always laughing and I thought she was so pretty with her long blonde hair.We were friends at LHS but we didn't become really close until I married into the Cook family in 1991. Julie married Ross Cook and had been in the family for a while when I met up with her again and we became friends all over again! We always managed to wind up in a corner at family reunions talking and laughing about everything. When Julie was in Nursing school she did her observance time at Hutcheson Medical Center, and thats where I had my babies.Julie got to be in the surgery room with me when my twin boys were born and she was my nurse afterwards! That was a thrill for me to have "family" with me even when my family couldn't be there. We all miss you terribly and think of you often! Love you girl!!!
