Obituary for Barry Lee Gore

Barry Lee Gore, 51, of Lafayette passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. He was a life long resident of Lafayette and was a member of the Mission Glen Baptist Church. Barry enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, hunting, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Barry also had a wicked sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Myers “Bill” Gore Jr. and his brother Anthony Lyle “Tony” Gore.

Barry is survived by his mother, Josylene Gaines “Delores” Summerlin; stepdad, Lloyd Summerlin; daughter, Kara Wineinger of Lafayette; sisters, Lisa Edge and Marynia (Herb) Myers, both of Ringgold; sister-in-law, Nancy (Brent) Scott; step-brothers, Greg (Karen) Summerlin of Dalton and Terry (Donna) Summerlin of Ooltewah; step-sisters, Rhonda (Damon) Perry of Ringgold and Angie (David) Wilson of Rossville; grandchildren, Kaydence and Tucker Wineinger; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Cemetery.
