Graduated 1983, Died March 21, 2007 in LaFayette, GA. Theresa was a sweet, kind and loving person. She loved her family so much and always took time to share her life with all of her nieces and nephews. She would always put a smile on your face. She is missed dearly by her family.
Theresa was a fun person to hang with. I remember when she moved to Corinth and attended Naomi. (When it went to 8th grade). She was my sister, Cheryl's, best friend. She came to our house. She was quite then. They maintained a friendship that was special and kept up with each other all these years. She didn't deserve the tragic death she was dealt. I hope JUSTICE will be served to the one(s) that took her precious life away from her friends and family. She was a sweetie!! I hope she rests in peace. Love you Theresa!!!!
Theresa was very sweet, kind and loving person and a true friend. We would talk for hours on the phone.I think of her daily and she is missed very much by her family and friends. Your friend Cheryl Cook Shields
Theresa was a great friend and one of my favorite dispatchers. I loved her sweet smile and her kind heart. She was always so soft spoken and treated everyone in such a gracious way. Her heart was filled with love for her family and her friends. I would call in late at night when we were so busy we didn't have time to breath and she would still have the sweetest, kindest tone, while the rest of us were ready to scream. I still have a pig that she made me one year for Christmas (as a joke, me being a deputy). I look at it often and say a pray for her. Her disappearance is such a tragedy. I kept her missing poster taped to the inter roof of my patrol until my last day on the job. I think of her everyday and miss her terribly. I hope now that Sam has been found quilty, Theresa can rest, in the peace of God's arms, where she is, until she is found and return home. We love you and miss you my friend!! You will forever be in our hearts.
I don't know how to express what a wonderful person and friend Theresa was. She put everyone first and was the best listener. She was there for me through a lot of tough times and always made things better. We loved going out for girls night. I can still hear her voice and miss her so much. The world has lost a special person.
Theresa was always quite in school. When i come to work with Walker County SO I got to know here better. As a dispatcher she was one of the lifeguards that helped get me home to my wife and kids. We had our diffrences over the years of working together but that's life and we never let those get in the way of being there for each other. One of the saddest days in my life was being assinged to lead her missing person's case for Walker So. We worked on the case for eleven months before taking it in front of Judge B. Wood for the arrest warrant. Hers was the ninth case in the state of Georgia to be made without a body. Sam Parker was the third person to be convicted without the body having been located. Almost a year later her body was discovered and I had the honor of helping return it to the family.
Rest well Sister, I loved and still miss you as a person that has touched my life. See you on the other side!
