[Robert James Chilcote was] born on August 9, 1943 [in Santa Clara County], he passed away from cancer on July 9, 2013 at the age of 69. Loving husband for 44 years to Lynne Chilcote; he chose to be the beloved dad of Angela Strout (Vinnie); Adored son of Dorraine Busse; Dear son-in-law of Edna "Grams" Mansfield; Uncle of Josh Mansfield (Michelle) and their children; Loving companion to his pal "Buddy". Jim was known for being a colorful man, both in spirit and because he loved color. He was generous, supportive, encouraging, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Jim had a special love for children and animals. He enjoyed food - cooking, as well as eating, especially bacon and gravy. Some of his favorite pastimes were gambling, fishing, taking cruises and reading. At his request, no services will be held. His ashes were scattered off the coast of Sonoma County.
