Tom, born in Oakland, December 21, 1943, graduated from Acalanes HS. He retired as a Sergeant Major with a 33-year career in the Army/National Guard. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Brad and Bruce Burmister of Concord; sisters, Norene Barclay (Judge Robert) of Hilmar, and Patty Schroeder (Gordon) of Clayton; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Tom and Hazel Nunley; sister, Julie Ann; and son, Brian Burmister. After his return from Desert Storm they RV'ed through Canada, Mexico and the USA. Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid line dancer.
