Mark N. Terrell, 78, passed away after a short illness, at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, surrounded by his family.
A Native Californian, Mark was a graduate of Acalanes High School, Lafayette, CA.; Diablo Valley College, Concord, CA.; Cal State Hayward and received a Bachelor of Science and OD (Optometry Doctor) degrees from Pacific University, Forest Grove, OR. He practiced Optometry in Monterey for 30 years. Mark served his country in the United States Navy, Submarine Service, aboard the USS Blackfin during the Vietnam War.
Mark was predeceased by his brother Michael Terrell and son Gregory Terrell. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Roxanne, his sister Patricia Kittrell of Roseville, CA., son Elliott Terrell (Hilary) of Salinas, grandson Landon Terrell and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Per Mark's request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate a few hours of your time to your favorite charity.
