With deepest regrets, I wish to share the sad news of the death of our classmate, brother and friend, Chima Echerou, aka "dozer" who passed away on July 2nd, 2015 in Seattle,WA.

Please take a moment to leave some kind words encouragement for his wife and his little son. Widows are often forgotten as time goes by, those of us who attended resolved to make it a point of duty to check on Chima's wife and his young son from time to time. As young Ikenna (his son) grows up, we want to put together photos and memories we have of his father to share with him as well.

With shock I recieved the shattering news on Echeruo's transition from TY early this month. I have wept bitterly for this untimely loss, recalling my last email exchange with dozer where I asked him when he may be in Nigeria for us to at least see again. Dozer was my mentor on all things computer at KC, ever prophesying about the power computers would have in our times now happening. Oh what a painful loss words can never describe; but I have taken all the questions and pain to God who alone holds all the answers. As we all mourn this ireparable loss, please be encouraged in the indisputable fact that the Lord swallowed death's sting on calvary 2000 years ago; and on this knowledge we shall boldly bear our brother's exit knowing that he rests in perfect peace in Christ. To you all my KC eternal brothers, & to dozer's family, I AM SO PROUD & HUMBLED TO HAVE KNOWN CHIMA WHO CAME AS A STAR; A GENIUS AHEAD OF HIS TIME. Ndo nu; & take heart. One great day soon Christ will make all things right and heal all our pains forever.

It is with a deep sense of loss that I received the news of Echeruo's death. I have not been in contact with him for all these times since the KC days. However, I vividly remember him as the famous dozer and the person who first introduced me to BASIC computer programming. Computer programming has helped me in many professional endeavours that I have been involved in. I surely believe that for a lifetime, a teacher always deserves a great thank you and a special place in a student's heart. Echeruo, my computer teacher, thank you. May your soul rest in peace and may God give the give your parents and family the fortitude to bear the loss. Amen
