Mrs. Yvonne Gallegos Pendarvis, 42, of Lake City, passed away suddenly on Sunday April 6, 2014 at the Shands at Univeristy of Florida Hospital after a sudden illness. Yvonne was born on November 25, 1971 in Hialeah, FL to Faustin, IV "Dusty" and Patricia "Pat" Johnson Gallegos. Yvonne lived most of her life in Lake City and was educated in the Columbia County School System. She was employed with the Cardiovascular Institute as a medical assistant and always had a passion for helping others. She loved to cook; and loved arts and crafts. She also loved to travel and was involved in many numerous activities during her educational and working career. She was a member of the Orchard Community Church. Yvonne is survived by her loving husband: William Earl Pendarvis of Lake City; her father: "Dusty"Gallegos (Ann Little) and mother Pat Gallegos of Lake City; daughter: Ashley Gallegos of Lake City; son: Braedon Gallegos of Lake City; grandmother: Dorothy Gallegos of Lake City; stepsons: Eron and Torrey Pendarvis of Lake City; brothers: Faustin Gallegos, V (Kelly Jennings) of Lake City and Cody Gallegos (Danielle) of Lake City; sister: Eryn Lee Morris (Joseph) of Alabama; niece: Alyssa Watt and nephews: Faustin Gallegos, VI, David Gallegos and Anthony Gallegos all of Lake City; In-Laws: Velma Corbin of Trenton and Allen Pendarvis of Old Town. Many other extended family members and friends also survive. Graveside funeral services for Yvonne will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday April 11, 2014 in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Eddie Blalock officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening April 10, 2014 from 5-7 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home.
