Nancy, 63, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, in Barrington. She was born Oct. 15, 1948, in Evanston, to Ferris and Helen Hurd. At the time of her death, Nancy was employed as the executive assistant to the CEO of Snap-On Tools in Kenosha, Wis. She had been a member of the Lake Forest College Alumni Association, the Junior Women's Club of Barrington and the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago, and a strong supporter of the Chicago and Lake Forest Symphonies. With her love of humor, gourmet food and French culture, she was the very definition of a "bonne vivante." Nancy is survived by her loving sons, Justin Sohl and Craig (Mandy) Sohl; sister, Janet (Ron) Fredriksen, stepson, Keith E. Wolters; and nephew, Chris Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Wolters; and parents. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at St. Michaels Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave., Barrington. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the church, with a second visitation held one hour before the service.
