John was born July 12, 1947 in Chicago and died Saturday, Sept 20, 2008 at his home in Rosemont. John was the father of Colleen (Paul) Kampschroer, John (Jolene) and Heather Cochrane; and the grandfather of 5. He was also the former husband of Kathleen Cochrane. John was a former long-time employee of the Journal & Topics Newspapers.
