VIRGINIA "GINNY" HAMILTON
CLARK, 55

ENGLEWOOD - Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Hamilton Clark, lover of life, the ocean, family, friends and turtles, died suddenly Thursday after falling ill at her Englewood home. She was 55.
Fond of all things Southern, Ginny loved to cook for friends and family, relished the gorgeous sunsets at Lemon Bay and didn't hesitate to speak her mind on such topics as politics, children's rights or the homeowner's association. Her feisty personality helped her survive a horrific traffic accident in 2005. She fought hard to recover, and was left with a newfound joy for life.
Born in Lakeland, she was a graduate of Kathleen High School and worked at Watson Clinic for many years. She and her family moved to Englewood in 2005, where she worked in the radiology department at Englewood Community Hospital. A realtor, she was associated with Lasbury Tracy Realty.
A loyal volunteer with the Coastal Wildlife Club's Sea Turtle Patrol, she loved boating and fishing with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Clark; children, Kendra Turner (DeWayne Turner), Bryan Clark, Jackie Evans (Thomas Evans)and Zackary Clark; grandchildren, Abigail Turner, Claire Turner, Tyler Evans and Alex Evans; parents, Lowell Ellis and Mary Elizabeth Hamilton; brother, Raymond Hamilton, and sister, Anna Hughes.
A Celebration of Life Service and Gathering of Friends will be held Saturday July 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Lemon Bay Park and Environmental Center, 570 Bay Park Blvd. Englewood, FL, 34223. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coastal Wildlife Club, Inc.'s Sea Turtle Program, P.O. Box 2022, Englewood FL 34295.
