LAKELAND -- Mr. George Lynn Coughenour Jr. of Lakeland died of lung cancer Sunday (Sept. 24, 2006). He was 50.

Born June 4, 1956, in Washington, Pa., Mr. Coughenour moved to Lakeland from Jacksonville in 1972. He worked as a painter in the construction industry.

Mr. Coughenour is survived by his mother, Dorothy Coughenour, Lakeland; brother, Frank Coughenour, Lakeland; sister, Brenda Coughenour, Shell Knob, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (September 27, 2006) at Gentry-Morrison Northside Chapel, Lakeland.
