VALDOSTA — Melanie Tran, 56, of Middleburg, Fla., died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at her parents’ residence in Adel. She was born on March 24, 1956, in Lakeland, Fla. Melanie was a library clerk with the Clay County, Fla. Public Library, a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Valdosta and sang in the church choir.

She is survived by her husband, Tham Van Tran of Middleburg, Fla.; two daughters, Elizabeth Tran and Allison Tran of Middleburg, Fla.; her parents, Melvin and Mattie Robinson of Adel; four brothers, David Robinson of Ray City, Darrell Robinson of Lakeland, Fla., Bill Robinson of Laurel, Maryland and Scott Robinson of Lakeland, Fla.; and one sister, Susie Glass of Auburn, Ala.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Hart officiating. She will be placed in the church at noon. Burial will follow in Oaky Grove Cemetery in Berrien County. The committal service will be at 3 p.m. in the cemetery.
