Marlene S. Rochford, 56, born November 21, 1967, in Cleveland Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024.

Marlene’s memory will be carried out through her loving partner, Jeffery Lowe; her father, James Rochford Sr.; brother James C. Rochford Jr. (Barb); and sister Mary T. Hernon (Mark).

Nieces and nephews Nora Hernon; Owen Hernon; Liam Hernon; Megan Rochford; and Allison Rochford.

Welcomed into heaven by her mother, Clara J. Rochford.

Marlenes passion was serving others, through her professional and personal life. She loved her career at Heartland Hospice, where she was a social worker, and then a bereavement counselor. In her personal life, she was also guardian ad litem for several people.

Marlene had a gift of connecting with the elderly. Her friends, family, and coworkers describe her as a passionate listener, always putting others’ needs before her own.

Marlene loved simple pleasures, quilting, birds, the outdoors, and her dog, Haley.

Please remember Marlene when you see a sunrise or sunset, two more of her favorite things.

There will be a Mass at Saint Christopher Church, Rocky River, on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11am. Friends and Family may join the family for an hour of reflection at 10am.
