Lakewood High School
Class of 1975
It saddens me to learn of Tom's passing, to me he'll always be the class of 1975's All American Boy: quarterback, baseball player, and boy scout. I have fond memories of pickup football games at the "triangle" by his house with Rudy Mueller, Dave Rupert, and a lot of other friends. In regards to his junior ski champion period, in either sixth or seventh grade there was a stretch of time when Tom was going by the sobriquet of "Jean-Claude Kelsey" in reference to the great French skier Jean-Claude Killy's dominance in the 1968 winter olympics. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
Happy Birthday ??
Hey girl - I think of you often.
Happy Birthday Caryl
So happy that I was able to spend ten days with Becky King Niemiec in Lakewood at her new penthouse at the Carlyle. We were able to visit and tour LHS and spend some time with Leslie McCoy Teague and some special LLT/Beck Center friends, as well as a quick visit with. Bev Jones and Tom Connor as well. We were also able to visit with Jim Boland. Great to catch up with everyone.Had a blast!
Sad to hear that Joe passed away. He was a very kind soul with an infectious laugh that made you laugh as well. I remember having a regular study table, afternoons in the LRC, with Joe (and Laurie too !) and a regular crew. I think we laughed uncontrollably, more than we studied. Rest in peace Joe... probably selling antiques for a profit in some better place!
