It is with great sadness that we inform you about the recent loss of our beloved teacher, Mr. Andy Gavel. Mr. Gavel passed away unexpectedly earlier today. He was a teacher, coach, and mentor to many students throughout his years at Paraclete High School.

Andy Gavel taught in Catholic education for over 36 years. He began his career at Bishop Amat High School, before moving to the Antelope Valley. He started at Paraclete in 1982 as a teacher and basketball coach. He LOVED basketball! Mr. Gavel spent two years at Crespi Carmelite High School as the Athletic Director, until the “Spirit” of Paraclete drew him back.

Please keep Mr. Gavel, his family, and the entire Paraclete community in your prayers as we deal with this loss.
