In Memory

Paul Marable

 July 10, 1972 - June 23, 2009

"When tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart. For everytime you think of me, I'm right here in your heart."

Simeon-David dePaul Marable was born on July 10, 1972, and returned to his heavenly creator on Tuesday, June 23, 2009. He died at home with his parents, daughters, and other family members.

He spent his entire life in Levittown as a third generation Levittowner. He attended Neshaminy schools, graduating in 1990. He attended the University of West Virginia, Bucks County Community College, and Pennco Tech.

Paul participated in Middletown Athletic Association baseball from t-ball through Babe Ruth. He played senior Babe Ruth for Langhorne AA. During his childhood, he had broken his legs and was treated to a special day with the Philadelphia Phillies by Manager Lee Elia, sitting in the dugout with the team, including Mike Schmidt and Juan Samuel, his favorites. Paul did not give up baseball even after two broken legs and a broken arm.

He delivered newspapers for the Bucks County Courier Times and was carrier of the month, which earned him a trip to an Eagles game, where he posed with the Eagles' cheerleaders for the paper.

Paul will be sadly missed by his parents, Simeon-David and Pamela Marable; brothers, Jason-Andrew (Kristina) and Benjamin Kurtis (Erin); and sister, JoAnna Chapin (Joseph); his maternal grandfather, Dale Sorenson; fraternal grandmother, Marsima Marable; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also will be especially missed by his son, Timothy David Marable; and daughters, Kiara Nichelle and Keri Nicole, the greatest and proudest loves of his life. Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel-Dale Christopher; his maternal grandmother; and his fraternal grandfather.

Paul shared a love of sports and memorabilia with his father and brothers, collecting classic cars and the history of Levittown. Paul was noted in a letter from the president of the Levittown Historical Society, Levittown, N.Y. He is listed with other family membes in Marquis Who's Who in America and Marquis Who's Who in the World.

Before his illness, he was employed as an electrician, doing work in the area.

In late 2008, he was diagnosed with cancer and had hopes for some treatment at Fox Chase Cancer Center, until all hope was lost on Saturday, June 20, and he came home to be with his family.

A memorial gathering will take place at the home of his parents on July 10, 2009.

He will be laid to rest beside his brother in Resurrection Cemetery, Hulmeville Road, Bensalem.

"May peace with the past and faith in the future gently guide you through each precious moment of today."
