Connie and I met on the first or second day at Maple Point. I knocked her books out of her hands after we hit trying to navigate those 90 degree turns in the Maple Point hallways. She turned around and said, "I'm going to kick your ass." I was really scared and she saw that and quickly added, "I'm only kidding".

For the rest of our time together at Maple Point - four years - everytime she saw me, she said the same thing, "I'm going to kick your ass."

I didn't see Connie after graduation until 1998 when I got a job at St. Mary Medical Center. On my first day, I heard, "I'm going to kick your ass" and I turned around and it was her smiling and then laughing.

We caught up on the last twenty years. Through out the years we worked together at St. Mary, we would always see each other on Connie's smoking breaks and talk about our memories of Maple Point.

She always talked about the Maple Point softball team. I know she loved those years on the softball team. I just wish I would have seen them play more often because they were so good.
