REUNION SEASON ... A GREAT SUCCESS!

What is a reunion? It's an opportunity to reconnect with friends you went to Redwood with as well as make new friends. High school reunions hold a unique place in the social fabric of our lives. They serve multiple purposes: a trip down memory lane, a chance to see how everyone has changed and evolved, and an opportunity to reconnect with those who were part of one of the most formative periods of our lives. For many, these reunions are a rare opportunity to revisit their youth, celebrate achievements, and reflect on the journey since graduation. They also offer a chance to rebuild bridges, forge new connections, and network professionally. In a world where social media often gives a skewed perception of people’s lives, high school reunions provide a genuine, face-to-face interaction that can be grounding and enlightening, an unforgettable evening that not only honors the past but also celebrates the present and future of its attendees.

10 year reunions are usually "low key" gatherings, often around the Thanksgiving holiday. Catching up at a local bar (Silver Peso??)  with drinks and snacks fits right it. You still have big dreams and plans. The hardest part is locating classmates but fortunately, many still have family living in the area.

20 year reunions are often the most interesting... classmates are well into their career paths and often raising familes. Women's names have changed and people have moved away so it's harder to located friends. 

30 year reunions... your'e almost 50 and getting more nostalgic for the carefree high school days. You're comfortable with yourself and can't wait to share memories as well as pictures of the kids and pets.

40 year reunions ... are just plain fun. Your kids are growing. retirement is in sight, and a new chapter is about to begin.

50 year reunions are a milestone! This is often the most well attended reunion and the most formal. You are into full nostalgia, many of you are retired, grandparents, and following the dream of travel and relaxation.Sharing your stories with classmates and reconnecting is just plain fun.

Reunions after the 50th often become lunches because driving at night is more of a challenge. Everyone is comfortable with themselves. We are who we are... no more "gonna be" or "gonna do." Lots of laughter at shared memories. we all have common aches and pains and are saddened to see the list of lost classmates grow.

There's something for everyone!
