Sorry to hear we lost Tim. I will always remember him from Redwood. His low hanging pants. I was amazed they did not fall off. We both went off into the service after school and we lived in the same apartment building on Canal St in San Rafael for a short while. Also Ron and Diane Freid lived there. Did run into him one time in San Francisco years ago. We had a nice visit, played catch up and then never folowed up on another meeting. Lots of regrets for not following up contacts with old classmates. So many gone, so many going...sad

Tim was a close friend of mine from when we started at a brand new Neil Cummins Elementary School on opening day after transferring from LCM with Mrs. Victor's 2nd grade thru Redwood and after.  We hung out together as small kids; Cub Scouts,  flying kites, catching baby toads in the old Corte Madera park, hiking out of his folks kitchen door to Mt. Tam, riding our bikes, playing poker,  and in high school we hung out a little less but we still found time to take trips up and down the Sierra mountains from Yosemite to Tahoe in my "new" 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan, and drinking beer and making home brew.  His favorite singers were Ray Charles and Elvis Presley. We would play poker and Tim would play Ray Charles LPs . Tim was a strong friend and had my back in high school, like the day I punched out four juniors who threatened  my girlfriend; Tim warned off some boys who were planning to gang up on me. I last had a telephone conversation with Tim a few years ago and he sounded like the same old Tim.  RIP Old Friend.
