Dan and I met in our freshman year and became instant friends. he was like a brother irritating at times and such a tease. We were both born in July he on the 6th me the 9th. We discovered that we were born in the same hospital Mary's Help in San Francisco, the story expanded when Dan's Mom remembered being handed at feeding time the wrong baby, a baby girl with lots of dark hair, my Mom a baby boy with lots of dark hair they both screamed at the same time not my baby. My Mom also remembered . When this story came out Dan took full advantage of the situation and proceeded to tell his friends that he saw me naked and slept next to me for days. I wanted to kill him, we laughed for years about those sweet days.
Life happened and we went our ways but Dan would show up at my parents through the years and I would make sure to see him at some point. He was a free spirit, I had to work and be responsible. He was always a breath of fresh air and during those visits for a brief moment in time I was also a free spirit. It has been ten or more years since I heard from him. I had a feeling that he was no longer here. He would never say goodbye to me it was always bye for now. Goodbye for now my friend DAN McINERNEY.
