I remember playing baseball with Mike in Pony League. He was bigger than most the kids and was a pitcher with lots of heat. Not much control but could throw a fast ball. After he would hit a couple of kids no one could stand in there. In retrospect he probably was throwing it in the 60's but it seemed like a 100 plus and wild. Had all us batters a little rattled. Nice guy and pitched in the All Stars too.
I remember Mike when he lived in Bel Marin Keys in Novato. Saw him often in the 70s. He was big and gentle. I remember he had the record for the longest softball throw posted in the gym. I remember it well cause I was second.
