Melinda was a charmer and a great friend in our younger days! Once referred to as “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, Melinda & her family moved to Marin in 1960. She had much spirit and a lust for life than occasionally got her in trouble. She was great fun to be around and I know she was looking forward to seeing her old friends at the 50th reunion. She will be missed!
Melinda was "Miss Marin County" in the summer of 1965 when I was First Runner Up! We had lots in common to talk about 4 years ago at the sweet 50-Year Reed Grammar School Reunion that several of the great women of our grammar school put together at Tiburon Peninsula Club. Melinda and I had a lot in common at that time, as we were both going through difficult times with our mothers' decline in health. I was so looking forward to seeing her light up the room again and catch up on things at the coming reunion. I will miss her . . .
