Oscar Andres Barraza "Bull" 44 died Friday December 13, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on December 1, 1969 in Las Cruces, NM to Paciano and Soledad Barraza. Bull graduated from Mayfield high school in 1987 and also attended W.N.M.U. He was an avid football player throughout school and in high school went to the state championship for track and field. Bull was currently employed with Good Samaritan Village where he obtained the title of Sous Chef and did various other jobs. He was always up for any challenge that would come his way. Bull enjoyed spending time with his kids and was always cooking. He was a big Raiders fan and enjoyed always watching football. Bull volunteered his time at the El Caldito Soup Kitchen where he was always a helping hand. His greatest achievements are his children. Bull is survived by his daughters, Sabrina Lopez, Samantha Barraza, son, Oscar Steven Barraza, brothers Christoforo Barraza of Las Cruces, Felix Barraza and wife Leticia Calanchi Barraza of Dona Ana, sisters Bertha Burciaga of Vado and Rita Barraza of Las Vegas NV. Bull was preceded in death by his parents Soledad and Paciano Barraza, sister Rosa Maria Chairez, brother Fausto Barraza and sister in law Yolanda Barraza. Pallbearers are Hector Barraza, Julio Burciaga, Dominick Calanchi, Alfredo Herrera, Michael Herrera and JD Lucero. Honorary Pallbearers are Randy Morales and Edward Herrera. A visitation will take place on Tuesday December 17, 2013 at 6:00pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Wednesday December 18, at Our lady of Health Catholic Church, 1178 N. Mesquite St., Las Cruces, NM. Oscar I miss you... You were always with a smile... This past month was with your family n they had a memorium for you...wow I can't believe you are gone... Rest in peace
