
Marcos Anthony Holland, 41, of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday January 31, 2012. He was born April 3, 1970 in Cristobal, Canal Zone, Panama to Jesse and Deanna Gibbs-Holland. Growing up with his father in the Military, Marcos and his family lived all across the United States and Panama. He graduated from Mayfield High School, were he excelled in Football and Track, as well as attending New Mexico State. Marcos was a well known Car Salesman in Las Cruces area, and enjoyed bowling. He served our Country as a United States Marine Corps Reservist. His big gentle smile will be missed by all his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Deanna Gibbs-Holland of Las Cruces, NM; brother, Darius Holland (Amber) of Bloomfield, CO; sister, Joan Bonita Holland of Arvada, CO; nieces and nephews, Jessica Holland, Jarrell Hicks, Isaiah Holland, Eva Sai Holland, and Maya Grace Holland; aunts and uncles, Helen Blunt, Joyceline Holland, Charles Holland, Daisy Thomas all of New Port News, Virginia, and Uncle Albano Gibbs of Panama. He was preceded in death by his father Jesse J. Holland, six uncles; James, George, Jimmy, Ross, Horace, Emanuel and Aunt Octavia. A prayer vigil and tribute to his life is scheduled for Monday, February 6, 2012 at 6pm at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral mass will be given on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 2pm at the St. Albert the Great Newman Center.
