Sarah Stephens-Permadi

Rest In Peace

1981-2006

Our precious daughter, sister and wife passed away Aug. 3, 2006, at the age of 24. She was a brilliant star that illuminated and enriched our lives beyond measure. Sarah was a loving and extremely caring person, with a quick smile and a kind word for everyone. Her outgoing personality and love for life were contagious and she brought joy to all that met her. She was born Dec. 1, 1981, at Fort Ord, Calif. As an "Army Brat", Sarah traveled the world and lived in California, Virginia, Ohio, Florida, Oslo Norway, New Hampshire, and finally Las Vegas. She graduated with honors from Palo Verde High School and was scheduled to graduate this semester from UNLV with a degree in international business. Sarah was an outstanding athlete and was a three year varsity swimmer for the Palo Verde Panthers. An excellent student, Sarah loved languages and spoke French and Norwegian. Sarah was employed as a federal officer for the Transportation Security Administration, under the Department of Homeland Security. She loved the colleagues that she worked with at TSA, and they in-turn were devoted to her. Sarah is survived by her parents, James and Christine Stephens; brother, Karl Stephens and sister-in-law, Eliza Wardle Stephens; and husband, Marshall Permadi. As a devout Christian and a loving child of God, she was a beautiful soul who knew with a certainty that she will be reunited with her family for all eternity.
